Jason's 1985 Pontiac
Fiero SE 2m4 Page
Here's my 85 SE 2m4 automatic.
My Dad bought it new in 85, and is
technically still the owner.
This is the car I first learned how to drive in.
When I started driving it,
there were about 85,000 miles on the
odometer, and now it has just
over 100,000. This is my daily driver
and still the most fun car
I have ever driven, (except for maybe
my new baby, the 2m6).
This car has been in one wreck, (thanks of
course to yours truly), and
one pseudo-fender bender. I followed
one of my friends into a parking
lot and parked right behind him.
Of course he then choose that
moment to proceed to back up, at
which point my license plate
decided to show it's true feelings for
the ball-type hitch on the
back of my friends van. The plate was
getting just too "wrapped
up" in the heat of things. Of course no damage
was done to the car itself.
The plate was fixed by applying pressure
from two sides simultaneously.
Basically it was thrown on the ground
and stomped on for a good
minute or two. Flattened it right good too. :)
Here's a couple more pics
Here's it is in front of my
house. (my house isn't the one you see
in the background, but I'm
standing on my driveway :)
Here's my gutless wonder engine.
Actually for a mid-80's four
cylinder engine, it's pretty
strong. Only 92 horsepower, but that
number is misleading because
the engine also produces 134 ft-lbs
of torque, pretty high for
the relative age of the engine. It gives
it a suprisingly strong acceleration
from a four cylinder.
And here's a frontal view.
The car in the back is my sister Accord (right
where it belongs if you ask
me). If you look closely at the license plate
you can see where it was warped
and scuffed when my friend (who will
nameless, but you can email
him here>:-) backed into me several
years ago.
Maybe I'll eventually tell the wreck story too, but for now:
