The English Course was presented well, it reinforced the students' knowledge of grammer. It will prepare them for the next level of English. It will also help the students point out the parts of speech, the three types of verbs, and verbals, gerunds, and sentence structure. It will prepare them for writing a term/ research paper.
What is Science? Science is an area of knowledge that is an object of study. There are many branches of Science such as: Zoology, Physics, Earth Science, Astronomy, Meteorology, etc. The courses that our Upward Bound Program offered were Physical Science, Chemistry, and Biology. Physical Science is the study of matter/energy and how they interact. Chemistry is the study of the structure and properties of matter. Biology is the study of cells. These simple sciences are use in everyday life.
Math several levels such as: Basic Math, Algebra 1& 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry and Calculus. Our Program offered Basic Math; Algebra 2;and Geometry. These levels of math have equations that make you think. Math will, in most cases, be used in everyday life. Basic Math is a good course. It helps the students to refer back to a foundation of math, in order to prepare them for more advanced courses.
