Chapter 1

"Taylor can you get the door already? Jeez, How long are you gonna make the poor people wait?"

Taylor smirked. "Oh God Isaac you act like it could actually be for you. Calm down! If the people want to see us so bad they can wait while I fix my hair!"

The doorbell rang again. Taylor sighed and walked away from the hall mirror. "I was just about to leave but finally one of you lazy Hanson's decided to open the door." Jen Foster burst into the Hanson house brushing past Taylor.

Taylor smiled. "Hey Jen sorry for the wait, I was all the way in the back of the house when the doorbell rang, but no...Isaac couldn't be bothered to get the door."

Isaac glared at Taylor and opened his mouth to answer but then decided against it. He rolled his eyes. "Whatever Taylor."

Jen laughed and shook her dark brown hair. Droplets of rain splattered onto Taylor. "I don't think it's ever going to stop raining out there!" She exclaimed.

Taylor shrugged, "Come on let's go to my room." Together they climbed up the stairs and into the room shared by Zac, Taylor, and Isaac.

Taylor and Jen had been best friends for pratically all their lives. They did everything together and could tell each other anything. They had always been there for each other, especially last year when Jen's parent's had broken up. Now she lived with her mom but visited her dad often.

Taylor sat on his bed and motioned for Jen to sit next to him. She did, sitting indian style facing him.

"Guess where I'm going tonight!" Jen exclaimed.

"Where?" Taylor asked.

"You're supposed to guess! But anyway out with Brian for our 3 week anniversary!" She smiled and her eyes sparkled.

Taylor grimaced. "Why do you even go out with that jerk?"

"Oh Taylor give him a break. He's not that bad. You just don't like him because of that stupid fight you guys had when you were 11. Get over it already!"

Taylor put a hand on her shoulder. "Jen you could do soo much better than him. He's an asshole."

"Oh yes Taylor, I just have millions of guys lining up to go out with me."

Taylor rolled his eyes. "If you only knew." It was true. Jen was pretty much the object of most of the guys in Tulsa's dreams. And she didn't even know it. With her chocolatety brown hair, bright green eyes, and perfect well-filled out, 5'5" figure she was a 14 year old knock-out but she didn't seem to know it at all. Most of Taylor's guy friend admitted to him they were jealous of his relationship with her and often asked him to hook them up. But he usually didn't, he was very protective over who Jen went out with which was one reason why he was so opposed to her relationship with Brian Brockett.

Jen rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Anyway what are you gonna do tonight?"

"What I do every night. Sit around and do nothing."

"Tay, your summer break from singing just started, enjoy it for a while."

"I'm trying, believe me I'm trying."

"Oooohhhh, I got an idea!" Jen exclaimed. She pulled her brush out of her pocket and began brushing her hair. "Oh this is gonna be great!"

"Oh God. I don't even want to know." Taylor said as he leaned back against the wall.

"First I gotta call Brian. I'll be back later." With that she got up and left the room. Taylor sighed and closed his eyes. It's gonna be a long summer.
