Mission Statement
Through the combined efforts of faculty, staff, and community, CSES will educate students to apply basic skills, and citizenship qualities to their environment while working for excellence in their thoughts and deeds.
School Improvement Goals 1998-1999
1. At least 75% of parents of incoming Kindergarten students each year will be made aware of the developmental stages and intellectual readiness for school.
2. For the year 1998-1999, 75% of all students in the primary grades required to take the Palm Beach County School District reading assessment will attain a score of 95 (independent reader) or better.
3. For the year 1998-1999, 80% of CSES students will use the ILS system to support and enhance instruction of the curriculum in grades 1-5.
4. To increase the gain on Florida Writes average expository scores by .2 points.
5. Grade 5 math scores will be at least 5 points above the state average on norm-referenced achievement tests.
6. Decrease student discipline referrals by 3%.
7. Increase by 5% community awareness of the 1998-1999 School Improvement Plan.
