Here is a page to keep alive the images of our family headstones today, that may vanish as time goes on.
Left to right: Olin Dale Clayton and his father Dale Everett Clayton, standing beside the graves of Guilford and Mary (Proctor) Bass. Guilford Bass served in the War of 1812 and settled in Ramsey Township, Fayette County, Illinois. Both Guilford and Mary (Proctor) Bass are buried in the Tennessee Cemetery in Audubon Township, Montgomery County, Il. They were the 3rd great grandparents of Dale Everett Clayton.
Barb (Hays) Clayton posed at the grave of William Irvin. It was erected to replace his former stone which was badly damaged. He served in the Mexican War and the Civil War. He is buried in Bethel Cemetery in Sharpsburg,Illinois.
