this 60 minute video emphasizes the physical, emotional, and economic costs
of earthquakes with scientific fact scattered throughout. Using selected
segments, this can be a good beginning to this lesson - and a good ending
too.
As a lesson warm-up activity,
see if your students can identify other earthquakes they have learned about
either through listening to current events or personal experiences.
