Jay David Bolter

Jay David Bolter is a Professor of Language, Communication, and Culture at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also Acting Director of the Institute's Graphics, Visualization, and Usability Center.

Bolter is also the author of two books on computers, literacy, and culture. His 1986 publication Turing's Man has been translated into eight languages. His 1991 book The Writing Space: The Computer Hypertext, and the History of Writing exists both in print and as a hypertext document. Bolter's primary interest is the computer as a new medium for verbal and visual communication.
