Written
Communication Model
The written model of communication
helps people orient their written communication for specific
audiences. The model graphically displays written communication
as a triangle. The triangle
represents all the elements necessary for the communication process:
sender, message, channel, and receiver. Writing is a process
of negotiating between the three different corners of this communication
triangle. When one writes the purpose is to communicate about
a subject to a reader. Depending upon the type of writing the
focus can shift where the main focus becomes the reader instead
of the writer or the text. Although the focus may shift, it always
revolves around the medium, which is, of course, the print media. |
