	MAIN SUBJECTS FINITE ELEMENT METHOD
				STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS
				STRUCTURAL OPTIMIZATION
				EARTHQUAKE ENGINEERING

	SEMINAR SIMPLIFIED DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF
				WEAKLY NONLINEAR SYSTEMS

PROJECT WORK * WIND INDUCED VIBRATIONS OF
				OVERHEAD BUNDLED CONDUCTORS

	* The analysis of damped wind excited vibration of overhead
transmission lines leads to a transcendental eigenvalue problem.

The corresponding complex matrix is square and its elements are
transcendental functions of the complex eigenvalues. The number
of eigenvalues is infinite and the spectrum is dense.

The project work is related to the construction of a robust
scheme for the determination of as many eigenvalues as possible
	  and the corresponding eigenvectors.

(Presently, working at Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany
under DAAD Scholarship on this project)
