American Goulash

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large pot, drain off fat.
  3. Add the onion, green bell pepper, and spices. Cook until the onions are translucent.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and cooked macaroni.
  5. Heat through and serve.

Theory of the Dish

I grew up eating my dad's real Hungarian Goulash. I was very surprised the first time someone served me this and called it Goulash. I cheated a bit with this, the paprika and tomatoes should be canned tomato sauce.
