Getting A Graduate Degree in Sociology of Religion

The Process

1. Decide on a specific field of study
2. Decide what my dissertation is going to be on (This is going to drive what school I decide on)
3. Look through the literature and web sites to find out who is doing that kind of work.
4. Contact faculty at the schools that are doing research in my dissertation topic to see if there are any projects I can work on.
5. Pick a school
6. Find out what the college is looking for in cadidates and the re-quirements for the department.
7. Take the GRE
8. Apply for any and all financial assistance
9. Quit my job and become a full time student
