Pastor Romeo Jardinel
B.S.C.,M.Div.,Th.M, Th.D.
Pastor Romy Jardinel is not just a pastor but he is also a missionary, an
evangelist, a teacher, a broadcaster. and a gospel singer. As a gospel
singer, he had toured the Philippines and sang to many churches with a singing
team from the seminary, PBTS, in Baguio while he was with the SBC. As a
radio broadcaster, his radio program while in the SBC seminary topped in the
survey as one of the most listened to. That program entitled "The Hour of
Revival" every Sunday 12:00 noon was the top radio program
between 1974-75 among 17 radio stations in Baguio. (One of the tourist places in
the country). As to pastoral experience, he had pastor
the first SBC church in Mindanao with members of about 400 and led the churches
to produce new churches. When he joined the Missionary Baptist, the Lord
continue to use him in teaching and church planting works as a missionary. He is
good in doctrinal teaching and communication in English, Tagalog and other
dialects such as Cebuano and Hiligaynon. He had been a teacher in the Philippine
Missionary Baptist Seminary teaching English and doctrinal subjects. As a
missionary, his first assignment was in Bunawan in the early 80s. Until
now the work in Bunawan continue as a self-existing congregation.
The Lord then led him to open a work
in Panabo. When it was organized, the church in Panabo called her own
pastor, and it continue to exist until now as a self-supporting and growing
church. The members in Panabo contributed to build their own church building.
While in Panabo, he won a group in another municipality, Tibungco, and so a
Missionary Baptist work was started there. Now Tibungco continue to exist as a
self-supporting
church. He & his helpers were also instrumental in winning other
unscriptural churches in Ozamiz, Pagadian, and Negros and scripturally baptizing
them, and such became Missionary Baptist churches. In the early 90s, he opened a work in Tierra Verde, which was later
moved to Buhangin. Later it was organized as a NT church, known as Buhangin MBC
which he is pastoring now. He continue to lead his church to missionary
works, as the Lord provides the way and opens the door. He keeps himself
spiritually and physically fit for the Lord's work. (I Tim.4: 8). A friend
asks why he looks strong and younger than his age, Pastor Romy replied, "The secret is
serving God". ~ E. J.
Shown is a recent picture of Pastor Romy Jardinel taken 2001 during his visit in Dasmarinas, Cavite
"The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey
head".
(Prov 20:29 KJV)
The strong and young hand of Moses did not deliver the Hebrew people
but the
Lord used him when he was old and weak.
