After the Ceremony

The community gathers outside the Municipal Building, to greet the newly-weds. Through the entire caravan's journey, children line the streets to collect candy that is tossed to them.

The Groom's Feast Begins

The groom's parents sing traditional wedding songs at the reception.



We think the groom is having fun!



The bride and groom cut the wedding cake.



The groom's mother welcomes the bride into the family by giving her a gold necklace. The bride always resides with the groom's family after marriage.



Close female members of the groom's family also welcome the bride into the family by giving her gold jewelry. This bride received 1 gold necklace, 2 gold bracelets, and 12 gold rings.
