Yesterday's newspaper was read by me today and guess what I see? Sheriff Arpaio is proud to announce that we have nothing to fear but his TANK.
Remember a few months ago when I talked with Arpaio about his tank. A friend told me that he saw the tank being prepared for painting on Van Buren with a deputy sheriff in attendance. When I talked to Joe about this he assured me that it would only be used in his D.A.R.E. program. That "the children" would forever be detered from drug use by climbing on "The Tank".
Yesterday's paper quoted him as saying that the new year would face him and his tank. I called the Chief of Intelligence to the Sheriff and he told me that it was assigned to the D.A.R.E. Program but would be used for support for LEO's. I then talked to the reporter that did the story (Dennis W. at the Republic). He told me that "The Tank" is to support the Sheriff's SWAT team, per Joe.

Joe B.S.'d me,.... Duh!
My fear is that the Sheriff will do any and everything so that he can justify the use and retention of his tank (FLIR, Helecopters, Artilery, etc.). Sooooo,........
I will be filing a campaign for Sheriff of Maricopa County before the end of next week. Why? To stop Sheriff Arpaio's use of the New Year to justify the need of his "tank". I know this guy and he is very dangerous. The fact that he knows that I'll be a big opponent of his getting "population control equipment" makes me a target. The safest place I can be is on the ballot against him or I'll just have to be quiet ( not possible with this shit going on ).
Don't worry, nothing will be asked of you all in relation to the campaign. Little will be needed. My goal is to see how much I can pull down his approval rating that he is so proud of and is the source of his imagined power. From a high of 80+?% I can get a 15-20% drop without much effort and then he'll do something stupid to drop it another 20+% (he won't be able to help himself from doing it :)
