Former Graham County Sheriff Richard Mack to speak in Tucson Thursday night
Tucson, AZ -- Appearing before what is expected to be a standing-room-only crowd this Thursday night, February 3, former Graham County sheriff Richard Mack will address a variety of issues concerning the right to keep and bear arms, as well as presenting newly released video evidence of some of the latest revelations about the Branch Davidian siege in Waco, Texas in 1993.
Brassroots, Inc., the pro-gun civil rights organization hosting Thursday nights event, is anticipating Macks appearance will refocus Arizonans attention to the contentious gun control subject that had captivated the nation when Mack was successful in overturning the Brady Law before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1996.
Macks visit comes on the heals of the Rineer court decision that upheld the Tucson city ordinance banning firearms possession in city parks. It is expected that Mack, who has been living in Utah for the past several years, will speak to the Rineer case in detail.
Bernie Oliver, president of Brassroots, said, Were delighted to be welcoming one of our most dedicated and trusted friends back to the state. Hes been sorely missed.
Oliver, one of Brassroots co-founders, is once again taking up the reigns as top officer in Brassroots, following Scott Woods tenure as the head of the group which has maintained a national profile as one of the gun movements most uncompromising organizations.
Mack, currently acting as a spokesman for Gun Owners of America, the nations second-largest pro-Second Amendment organization, is also a life member of Brassroots.
