When I first started on the internet, I was amazed at the amount of information that existed on the web. I was hooked! But ya know what bothered me was I didn't know how to get through all that information..to the stuff I wanted. Slowly I gathered up a few sites (mostly art related since that's what I teach) until my bookmark list was too long to deal with. I needed a place to store these addresses without overloading my Netscape bookmarks. That's how this site started....

As I began to talk to other teachers just starting out on the Net, they, too, expressed frustration and bewilderment as to where to start looking - and what to look for. Granted, search engines such as Hotbot, Webcrawler, Yahoo and Lycos are useful, but you usually end up spending most of your time looking through sites totally unrelated to your task.

The objective of this site is to act as a "springboard" - to provide teachers (and students) with the information they want.
