This Night the Veil Between the world is at its thinnist, and the worlds of the Dead and of the Living are close.

This night we say farewell to those who have gone on this year, and we share time with those long gone.

We remember the times of Joy and Sadness, Laughter and Tears that fill our lives.

We sever ties that must be ended, and renew ties that need be strengthened.do hiddenwordsmean

We remember the Past, and peer into the Future. something?

For One Night we spend time in the World of the Dead, without the cares and worries of the Living.

We return again, leaving behind that which we wish dead and gone, bringing back with us that which we do not wish lost.

Our losses, great and small, come before us, and we must accept them , and wish them well on their journey.

The Wheel turns, Birth and Death are One.

The Last of the Harvest has been gathered the fields are barren and Dead, Winter moves in upon the Winds of Change.

All that we have gathered this year is prepared for the Winter, "Will we have enough?"

The Samhain Fires are Kindled, just as the Harvest, so this is All we have to survive the coming Winter.

This Night we Revel in our Life, and take comfort in Death, for the Wheel turns Round again.

"Merry Meet, Merry Part, and Merry Meet Again!"

This Night, those words ring True.

Hecate, Cerridwen,

Dark Mother take us in

Hecate, Cerridwen,

Let us be Reborn.

Corn and Grain, Corn and Grain

All that falls shall rise again.

Hoof and Horn, Hoof and Horn

All that dies shall be Reborn.

Welcome Winter, Waning season

Now with Night the New Year comes.

All Who Honour Elder Kinsfolk

Dance the Dead to earthly drums.

Souls Respected, save the Living,

Those with Whole and Hallowed Hearts.

Blessings be on those who Bide here,

And Indeed on all the Earth.
