The following are a few readings that relate to Jesus. I have copied these from the book "Edgar Cayce's story of Jesus" by Jeffrey Furst, ed. The "Q." and "A." respectively mean "Question" from the person or group receiving the reading and "Answer" from Edgar Cayce.
1. Q. When did Jesus become aware that he would be the Saviour of the world?
A. When he fell in Eden. (2067-7)
2. Q. Does this mean that Jesus had been Adam?
A. Study the Book which tells of Him, JESUS, born of the Virgin Mary; (Then) know this is the soul-entity (Jeshua) who reasoned with those who returned from captivity in those days when Nehemiah, Ezra, Zerubbabel were factors in the attempts to re-establish the worship of God; and that (as) JESHUA, the scribe, translated the rest of the books written up to that time.
Then realize (also) that is the same entity, who, as JOSHUA, as the mouthpiece of Moses, who gave the law; and was the same soul-entity who was born in Bethlehem. The same soul-entity who, in those periods of the strength and yet the weakness of Jacob in his love for Rachel, was their firstborn, JOSEPH. As ZEND (father of Zoroaster)--this is the same entity. And this entity was that one who had manifested to Father Abraham as the prince, as MELCHIZEDEK, the priest of Salem, without father and without mother, without days or years, but a living human being in flesh, made manifest in the earth from the desire of Father-God to prepare an escape for man; as was warned by the same entity, as ENOCH; or, as in those days of ASAPHA, or AFFA, in those periods when those of the Egyptian land were giving those counsels to the many nations, when there would be those saved of the physical from their own making (or doing) in the physical. Or, as the first begotten of the Father, who came as AMILIUS in the Atlantean land and allowed himself to be led into the ways of selfishness. (364-8) And this was also the entity ADAM--and this was the Spirit of Light. (5023-2)
3. Ye say that there were those periods when for four hundred years little or nothing had happened in the experience of man as a revelation from the Father, or God, or from the Sources of Light. What was it then, that made the setting for the place and for the entering in of that consciousness in the earth that ye know as the Son of man, the Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ on the Cross? Did the darkness bring the light? Did the wandering away from the thought of such (light) bring the Christ into the earth? Rather, is this idea not a refutation of the common law that is present in spirit, mind, and body; that like begets like? As was asked oft, "Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?"
Isn't it rather there were those that ye hear little or nothing of in thy studies--the Essenes--who dedicated their lives, their minds, their bodies to a purpose, to a seeking for that which had been to them a promise of old. Were there not individuals--men and women--who dedicated their bodies that they might be channels through which such influences, such a body might come? (262-61)
4. Then there were the diverse groups, as well as the Essenes, who had themselves as a channel through which there was expected to be, in particular period, the fulfillment of those promises indicated from the first promise to Eve unto the last, as had been recorded by Malachi. There were individuals who in their activities of daily life were in keeping with neither of the first indicated groups. (993-5)
5. Because of the divisions that had arisen among the peoples into sects, as the Pharisees, the Sadducees and their divisions, there had arisen the Essenes, who not merely had cherished the conditions that had come as word of mouth, but had kept the records of the periods when individuals had been visited with the super-natural, or out-of-the-ordinary experiences--whether in dreams, visions, voices, or what not. (1472-1)
6. Mt. Carmel (was) the original place where the school of the prophets was established. (By Elijah, Elisha, Samuel) (2520-1)
7. And these were students of what ye would call astrology, numerology, phrenology, and those phases of the study of the return of individuals, or reincarnation.
There were reasons why these proclaimed that certain periods formed a cycle--reasons which grew out of the studies of Aristotle, Enos, Mathias, Judy [Judy, unmentioned in Biblical texts, was, according to Cayce, one of the Master's early teachers], and others who supervised the school, as ye would term it in the present.
These individuals had been persecuted by leaders of the people, and this caused the saying of which ye have an interpretation, as given by the Sadducees, "There is no resurrection" or "There is no reincarnation"--which is what the word menat in those days. (5749-8)
8. Hence, there was the continued preparation and dedication of those who might be the channels through which this chosen vessel might enter--through choice--into materiality. Thus in Carmel--where there were the priests of this faith--there were the maidens chosen who were dedicated to this purpose, this office, this service. That was the beginning, that was the foundation of what ye term the church. (5749-7)
9. There were, then, twelve maidens in the temple, or of the ORDER of the Temple. And this entity was one of the twelve, associated with Mary in the preparations. (649-2)
10. The temple steps--or those that led to the altar, these were those upon which the sun shone, as it arose of a morning when there were the first periods of the chosen maidens going to the altar for prayer, as well as for the burning of incense. (5749-8)
11. On this day, as they mounted the steps, all were bathed in the morning sun; which not only made a beautiful picture, but clothed all as if in purple and gold. As Mary reached the top step, then, there were the thunder and lightning; and the angel led the way, taking the child by the hand before the altar. This was the manner of choice, this was the showing of the way--for she led the others on THIS particular day. (At this time Mary was between age thirteen and fourteen. The Conception came at sixteen.) (5749-8)
12. Q. Is the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church correct, in that Mary was without original sin from the moment of her conception in the womb of Anne?
A. It would be correct in any case. Correct more in this. For as for the material teaching of that just referred to, you see, in the beginning, Mary was the twin soul of the Master in the entrance into the earth! (5749-8)
13. Q. Was Anne also prepared for her part as mother of Mary?
A. Only in general, not as specific as Mary after Mary's being pointed out. See, there was no belief in the fact Anne proclaimed that the child was without father. It's like many proclaiming today that the Master was immaculately conceived; they say, "Impossible!" They say it isn't in compliance with the natural law. IT IS A NATURAL LAW, as has been indicated by the projection of mind into matter, and thus making of itself a seperation to become encased in same--as did man (in the beginning.) Then, in that there had been an encasement was there a beginning. Then there must be an end when this must be--or may be--broken; and this began at that particular period. Not the only--this particular period with Anne, and then the Master AS a son OF an immaculately conceived daughter! (5749-8)
14. Q. Then neither Mary nor Jesus had a human father?
A. Neither Mary nor Jesus had a human father. They were one soul so far as the earth is concerned. (5749-8)
15. Q. Did Mary's conception of Jesus take place in the temple at Jerusalem or in the Essenes at Mt. Carmel?
A. The Essenes' to be sure. Because of the adherence to those visions as proclaimed by Zacharias in the orthodox temple, he (Zacharias) was slain even with his hands upon the horns of the altar. Hence these who were being protected (Mary and Elizabeth) were in Carmel, while Zacharias was in the temple of Jerusalem. (5749-8)
16. Q. Was Zacharias, father of John the Baptist, an Essene?
A. As has been indicated, Zacharias at first was a member of what you would term the orthodox (Jewish) priesthood. Mary and Elizabeth were members of the Essenes, you see; and for this reason, Zacharias kept Elizabeth in the mountains and in the hills. Yet when there was the announcing of the birth (of Jesus) and Zacharias proclaimed his belief, the murder, the death, took place. (5749-8)
17. Q. It is difficult to grasp the concept of reality of the Immaculate Conception. Could you please clarify?
A. Neither is there much indicated in sacred or profane history as the preparation of the mother for that channel through which immaculate conception might take place. And this--the immaculate coneception--is a stumblingstone to many worldly-wise. (5749-15)
18. As the spirit was made manifest in the body purified by consecration of purpose in the lives manifested in the earth, so might the spirit--bring to the organs of (its own) flesh, a body through which the spirit may itself manifest in the earth (As its twin soul).
Remember those forms which have been given. First, He was created--brought into being from all that there was in the earth, as (Adam) an encasement for the soul of an entity, a part of the Creator; knowing seperation in death. Then He was made manifest in birth through the union of channels growing out of that "Thought of the Creator" made manifest, but so expressed, so manifested as ENOCH as to merit the escaping of (physical) death--which had been the result of the law of disobedience. He was made manifest in MELCHIZEDEK by desire alone, not knowing body, not knowing mind--save its own; brought into materialization as of itself; passing from materialization in the same manner. Then there was perfected that period again in BODY when the other soul, or portion of self (Eve), was made manifest by the consecration of the mother (Mary); meeting self, then, by that same quickening power which had been made manifest in the beginning, or at first. (2072-4)
