We had visited the Tulip Museum ...

I just completed reading the messages from our classmates; and so, with spare time, I will pass on a small fragment of our history:

Ann and I are paying our dues she at the International School of Indiana teaching 5th graders and I at Browning Construction.

Our children will be getting married in 2008: Andrew the younger in February and Katherine in July. We are excited about these events and I am a bit perplexed regarding all the planning and deposits it takes to pull off weddings.

Finally, yesterday, I got the patio furniture stowed inside and peonies planted outside. Earlier I planted 100 tulips in a 5' X 5' plot next to a tree and the roots impeded with my digging resulting in an hour job taking up half the day.
We had visited the Tulip Musuem while in Amsterdam so why not 100 tulips for the back yard to remind us of the visit. If you haven't been I highly recommend.

Peace to you all,
Mike

Ted -- Just got back from Borders shopping for the nephews and on the way and back while driving I was thinking on high school days and their impact on the arts. Remember Paul Newman as Hud removing the parking meter heads- I think that the director of "Hud" must had seen us gathered outside of Nick's hugging the meters. Do you remember "West Side Story" and the rumble- I think the director must have seen the "candies" and the "greasers" walking towards each other across the court house square. Did you see "Dirty Dancing"- I think that the director must have been at the Whiteland Barn watching the packed house rocking to the beat of "Keety and the Kats". The FHS dances were patrician compared to the anarchy of the Barn.  -- Mike

Oh! In response to Ted's Christmas letter:  Tanganyika, Northern Zambia. The Tanganyika Inn, Mable Sims, proprietor, Franklin, IN. I remember going out to the Tanganyika to see Ray Charles after hours; he had been in "Naptown" for a concert and Mable hosted him in Franklin. I got bounced by the security guard with a pistol up the side of my head and a reminder to keep my ass out of the place.
