The snow is falling lightly, actually blowing at a slight angle as it blankets the soft ground,
adding a dusting on the trees ..
Only the sunken outlines of our footprints disturb the even, bright white padding of
crystals..stacked haphasardly, one on the other, until a foot or more deep... smothering
all sound except the faint, faint passing of still falling flakes.
Concord, Mass. -- A large explosion of a residential residence shook the quiet community of Glenhaven early this morning, totally destroying one home and setting fire to three nearby houses. Two people apparently died in the explosion. Uniformed police and fire department personnel were on the scene only minutes after the explosion, preventing the fires from extensively damaging the nearby homes, and preventing damage to other homes in the area. A spokeman for the fire department who asked not to be identified, stated that the rubble is still being searched for the two presumed dead. No cause for the explosion has been identified. However, police believe that this explosion could be related to three others which have occurred around the Boston area at approximately the same time. |
