Much of my information comes from www.curlingbasics.com. A few terms. First of all, you know what a curling rink looks like, right? There's a series of basically three concentric circles. This is called the house. There's a back line, and a line at the front. The back line is called the back line, I think. The front one is called the hog line. I think. Game is composed of ten ends. In each end, there are two teams, who get eight rocks each. They are thrown in an alternating manner between the two teams. The point of the exercise is to try and get as many rocks as you can closer to the middle than the closest opponent's rock. Thus, if your opponent has one rock in the house, say five feet away from the middle, then all of the rocks that you have within a five foot radius, count for one point each. So that's how the scoring works. Ah....what else? The rock has to be in the house in order for the points to count. Ah....okay, I think that's it. You're ready to play! Enjoy.
