GM High-Performance front brake rotors & pads from Bruce Glueck Chevrolet in Florida (904)792-1111

Rotors part # 12480155/6, pads #12480154. Pads are Hawk HPPLUS

ACDelco Ceramic front brake pads from Ken Fichtner Chevrolet in Montana (406)628-4618

1) Hawk pads squeeked way too much, so I got the new Ceramic pads from ACDelco. They are supposed to be quiet.
2) They come with new clips with instructions.
3) They come with 2 vinyl stickers, but no instructions. In order to match the Hawk pads, the stickers should be put on the outside pads.
4) They come with tube of Silicone Grease, but no instructions. The Service Manual indicates the grease should be used on the "inner diameters of the caliper bolt boots" and the "caliper bolt shaft" but not the "bolt threads". You need a wrench to hold the nut behind the bolt.
5) The service manual indicates that you also need new bolts which come with thread lock. FICHTNER CHEVROLET says they pushed Chevrolet on that issue and Chevrolet backed down. Just use off the shelf thread lock.
6) Burnish the pads by making 20 stops from 30 mph using medium/firm pedal pressure.
