Empty Home

Banging doors that echo loud
Create the hollow sounds
Though people live and breathe inside
Reflecting lives within
They walk and talk and shout out loud
But seemingly aren’t home

I wander ‘round, calling out
Is anybody home?
You’re standing there I know you are
Isn’t anybody home?

I need you now and I see you there
Is anybody home?
I see you there, can’t you hear
Isn’t anybody home?

This empty home with hollow sounds
Is actually quite full
They move and bustle to and fro
But never do they know
That though they live and breathe and walk
That still nobody’s home
