Journey To My Heart
God has sent me on a journey to my heart
Preparing me for what lies ahead by giving me a navigator
Someone who knows the course, who's been before
The Journey is at once frightening and exhilarating
Taking me to the cavernous reaches
To places that have never seen light
Fearful...yet advancing
Knowing no boundaries or depths, valleys or peaks
Feeling sometimes the stony silence of my heart
The echo of refusal as it defies exploration
Pressing on...into the arid expanse
Entering uncharted territory, relying heavily on the navigator
Descending now into an eerie silence
Winding through the long dark corridor of the cavern of memories
Where many have stumbled and forever lost their way
Sensing at last a change in the air...
Past the bend, off in the distance lies a beautiful sight
A sensitive and fertile ground
That which will in time...
Explode with life
