RUSSIAN MINISTRY NEWS LETTER: APRIL 2000

Dear Friends,
Christian greetings from Russia!
Let me share with you some events which took place in recent time.
The most great joy of mine is that my father has returned home after ten terrible weeks in the hospital. As I wrote you in my previous letters, after two surgeries he had an incurable fistula in his stomach (which was also getting bigger). According to doctor's, he would not be able to recover after one more surgery and would die very soon. Nevertheless, the fistula closed by itself (and we know WHO was in charge of that). My dad was in one of the biggest hospitals in Moscow and doctors said that he was the first patient in the last 30 years with such disease who finally got cured! What a testimony of God's grace!
Now he is recovering rather fast and is testifying that very serious changes took place in his heart during that time. I pray that both his spiritual and physical condition would continue to improve. Let me express my great appreciation to all brothers and sisters who prayed for my father. Truly, prayer can make the difference!
Yesterday I returned from Riga, Latvia. I went there for a funeral of my grandmother. She died as a Christian in the age of 92 years. It is very sad and glorious at the same time to be on the funeral of the loved one whom we anticipate to meet again in Eternity.
Our brother Igor called from Uzbekistan telling that he is working in the new city where he has not been before. It was necessary because police caught him for evangelism during his previous mission trip and he spent several weeks in the special jail for religious extremists. Continue to pray for him.
The doors in the local hospital is opening for our church' anti-abortion ministry. We also are working with our local government concerning the plot of land for the church building. As I wrote you the church building project is very very important for us.
I am planning to visit the US this July-August with the main purpose to promote our building project.
We appreciate very much your prayers and help.
With love and appreciation, Andrew Blinkov
