RUSSIAN MINISTRY NEWS LETTER: November 1999
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Moscow!
I am very thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to visit America and fellowship with many precious brothers and sisters. I had a great time in your hospital country. Everybody tried to make me feel like at home and I really did. I was blessed.
Somebody said that your home is where you have God, family and Christian friends- all the rest gets boring after a while. I definitely felt God’s presence, was among good Christian friends and only missed my family. Anyway I felt almost like at home everywhere I was.
I enjoyed soft, mild presence of the Spirit. I want to express my warm gratitude to everyone whom I met during my October’s trip to the U.S.
While I was in America we continued our ministry. More than 15 people asked Jesus to come to their hearts in local hospital.
Especially effective was our ministry in the public schools. We visited 3 schools with 6 on anti-abortion and anti-drugs lectures. Most of the 260 students present were very receptive and interested asking us to come back and tell them more.
When we go forward the enemy gets mad. In one of the schools one extreme-Orthodox lady was very upset thinking that we are some kind of cult trying to deceive kids. Everybody including school teachers tried to calm her down but evidently she didn't change her mind and finally wrote a paper to governmental school board asking them to stop our activities. They did it. So now we will be meeting with the authorities trying to persuade them the importance and truth of our work.
We believe that the enemy won't be able to stop the ministry which the Lord gave us. As it is written: "These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth". We will also spread our work on other cities close by.
