I want to speak about 4 types of tragedies in the world.
Tragedy No. 1 is when you willingly, consciously run from God, make your own plans, set your own goals. You decided: "I know better what to do with my life and I'll do it on my own strength." The result is not 50%, not 80%, not 90%, but 100% crush sooner or later. Drugs, prostitution, broken homes, abused children, suicides, severe sicknesses... Tragedies,
tragedies, tragedies...
Tragedy No. 2 is to have some sort of religious life, to do some pious things like giving money to the poor, wearing crosses, worshipping icons and never come to the reality of knowing Jesus. Knowing Him is something very real, it's personal experience and not just theological idea. Religion created by people doesn't provide a salvation. Only Jesus does.
If you say: "I don't think that a human being can know Jesus personally", you just confess that you are distant from Him and somehow you are content with this distance...
The real tragedy is that there are so many people who think that they have good relationships with God but in fact are lost without Jesus living within them , because only in Him there is Life...
Tragedy No. 3 is when the person is born again, goes to the church, listen sermons, watches Christian programs and disregards what he hears, decides to compromise with sin, allow a little bit of sex, little bit of drinking, little bit of smoking...
By doing that you close the door for great and exiting will of God in your life. You loose the greatest experience of intimate relationships with God, loose His blessings and you are in danger even to loose the eternity...
We have too much confronting us in this life. This world undergoes the devil's attacks and what can we do? We, who even can't see our enemy. What can we do to protect ourselves?
Dear friends, in this life we need Christ . He is the only One who can save us; only in Him we can be protected.
If it happened that you are experiencing one of these tragedies today, I want to speak to you. There is the way out. It's simple but very serious. It's a life changing decision.
The most wise, the most intelligible, absolutely the best decision you can make is to surrender your whole life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ now. Absolutely now.
If I were you, I hope that I'd pray like this: "Lord Jesus, I am repenting before you... Please forgive all my desires to live apart of you, take the burden of sin away from me... Even if I don't understand what does it mean to know you personally and to walk intimately with You, but I want to. I want whole my life to be Your possession. Today I trust You as my life's Saviour..."
But there is one more tragedy. On the face of the earth there are many of those whose hearts are opened to the Good News, who are seeking the Truth, but for some reason they never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ...
In the western world there are plenty of people facing first three types of tragedies but not so many who never heard the Good News.
The situation is different in Russia today. There are millions of people who never, never heard a complete, clear and powerful salvation message. I personally know that before I turned 22 years old I have never met a single Christian at all. I was not simply lost but the worst of all I didn't even have a chance to be saved. Then somebody shared the Gospel with me...
Will you please help us to proclaim the name of Jesus in Russia today? We need your support both in prayer and financially. Paul said: "I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise... For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.."
