Scott has recently left employment with UC Merced where he worked with students in Californiaīs Central San Joaquin Valley since 1998. He is now enrolled in a language immersion program in Salamanca, Spain. The program is a 9-week intensive program that is a partnership between Lake Tahoe Community College and the don Quijote language school.
Upon his return, Scott will begin a fellowship with the Great Valley Center. The fellowship is an 11-month program offering service in a series of apprenticeships with senior-level managers in the public, private, political, and nonprofit sectors. Fellows will also conduct their own fee-based consulting project for a client, and complete a project portfolio that compresses several sets of work experiencesinto a showcase of excellent work in a variety of fields. Scott begins his fellowship on August 7, 2004.
