Frapper.com is a site that allows people to post their location and pics on a map according to your interests. I am posted on http://www.frappr.com/pnetpnetters which is the Kayak map. Cerridwen is listed on the knitting map and so I have created a Frapper Map for Gardnerian Witches.
If you want, feel free to post yourself here http://www.frappr.com/gardnerianwicca and let the world know how many of us exist.

Of course, I understand that many of you are unwilling to post your real name and photo so if you must use a public name and image (i.e. something that symbolizes you) please do so ONLY if you are an initiated Gardnerian. I won’t judge your Lineage, leaving it to you to follow the three agreed upon rules for being a Gardnerian:

  1. Initiation by another Gardnerian who can trace their Lineage back to Gardner via one of his many HPS.
  2. Initiation following the Gardnerian Initiation in the Gardnerian Book of Shadows.
  3. Possession and use of one of the Core Gardnerian Book of Shadows.
Of course, being of a British Line, I consider Proteans and other off-shoots as being Gardnerian so long as they follow the general Gardnerian workings and Rituals. I also accept male-cast Circles and any Initiation done by a Second or Third Degree Gardnerian As Valid.
We can argue what THAT means forever just as we can nit-pick the three Core Rules forever. So here let us be flexible and allow the individual to decide if a specific person on the map is “valid” enough for them to Circle with.

So why do this?
A number of reasons:

  1. It shows just how large the Tradition is
  2. It allows those who are seeking a Gardnerian Coven to see if there are any in their area
  3. It allows us to locate other Gardnerians when we travel
  4. It announces to the world who we are
  5. And it is just a fun thing to do.
If it asks for your latitude and longitude, go to Topozone.com and type in your city and state and country and it will give you the location and a map.

Now, here is the interresting part.
Center your desired city in the center of the screen, then zoom in. On the large map, Tucson shows only the most recent submission. But when you zoom in, all the pins separate and you see everyone who is there.
Also, try looking at the map via Satellite and Hybrid views too.

And as time goes on, you can change your own info to add more info, change your photo etc. So lets have some fun here.

Now I wonder how long it will be before the non-Gardnerians spam the map instead of creating their own.
