All religions have a mythology. The problems occur when that religion begins to believe that their myths are history.
Wicca is no different only as an evolving religion, we are also writing our own myths as time goes on.
Why is this NOT a problem? Because Myths and legends are to teach people how to live by example. Because Myths and Legends seek to explain First Causes. Because Myths and Legends entertain.
Gardnerian Wicca has only one real Myth and that is considered to be Oathbound so I cannot or willnot put it here for various reasons. Leland does list a number of excellent Myths in his Aradioa work that can fit easily into Gardnerian Wicca..
BUT! We do, as Witches, write myths and legends to make our lives richer.
These are Myths and legends written by various people. Feel free to submit your own. BUT, if you are submitting another person’s Myth, please give credit to that person.
