So, in the great quest for the Lord of the Rings Food party, I've created my second Shelob Creampuff prototype. Two pics are below, more may be coming if I ever get around to writing up the 'how to.' Why creampuffs? Well, I thought it was funny. Really, if you stab her, she will ooze pastry cream! This one was made for Trilogy Tuesday (12/16/2003). I brought it to the theater and shared it with all those who managed to overcome their fear and vague disquiet.
She is covered in a cocoa glaze and her legs are held up by jointed straws. The main part of her body is filled with smaller creampuffs as well. The board is coated with a layer of chocolate butter cream and crunched up bits of cream puff pastry coated with more butter cream and spread around to look like rocks. Then I dusted the whole thing with Ovaltine for dirt/dust. I was in a hurry and didn't adequately cover up the support structure with cocoa glaze, so it is rather glaring in the photo. Her body is held up by a wire frame, to give her that realistic profile.

She really is a charming creature. So friendly, she loves everyone!

Here's a scan of the collectible I received on Trilogy Tuesday.
