A documentary film about our project is currently being made, the production of the Glyph Magicians, Matt Gates and animator Roger Scott at AHHA Productions. It is being filmed on location at the Glyph and draws from a variety of orginal artists in its execution as well as its soundtrack.
We are scheduling an indoor photoshoot around the weekend of the 26SEP99. The outdoor shoot/picnic has yet to be definitely scheduled, but we expect that to happen shortly thereafter while we still have decent light. As stated before, it will be an all-day party with as many folks as we can get together, who will be required to dance for about 5-10 minutes and may be interviewed briefly for vox pops (if they don't mind). It's set to be in a public place so it's BYOB and some munchies to share. We'll pick up a rack of something to get the party, and the film rolling. It's a work party, but we'll have fun and socialize, too.
Stay tuned and when we can schedule it more precisely, the times and places will be published here as well as on the OUO discussion list.
Update: Shooting went well enough 26SEP99, most of the interior/interview material being shot, some of the exterior close-ups as well. Still trying to schedule the outdoor gig.
UPDATE 01NOV99: Roger is too crunched for time and has (at best) back-burnered the project. We have a lot of it shot and can assemble a decent documentary, just not on the schedule we would formerly have liked to have kept. With the summer/Fall light gone, we will have to shelve this until spring, when we will re-evaluate our position.
LATEST UPDATE 04FEB00: As spring approaches, the former music director is gaining a computer and sufficient software to take up Roger's cartooning efforts. A few other cameras have been located and editing machines are being made available. It looks as tho' this project may be finished during calendar 2000, but probably won't see the widest of distribution due to our immanent severance from Llewellyn. In any case, you can find it here, rest assured.
Timing-wise, it does not seem critical, as the Book of the Glyph is yet only in comittee, and not yet bound to any particular course.
