The Order

Most of us don't really like the term "order", so when we set out to create a system for the ongoing upkeep, maintainance and legal protection we require, we had to think it through carefully. Many of our members view magickal orders as stuffy hierarchies or boys' clubs bent on the acquisition of power, usually over others. Some of us think otherwise, pointing to such wonderful recent works as Inside a Magickal Lodge by John Michael Greer, which gives a great deal of practical guidance in such matters.

Currently, we are in the process of application for IRS status as a fraternal organization and the link below called "The Process" details our efforts such that all might be updated and educated in the process as we traverse it. In the meantime, feel free to avail yourself of the other links which describe order rites, processess and goals.

The current contents of this area are:

Bibliography The recommended reading list, divided into Beginning and Intermediate categories.

Order Outline This is a simple, clickable outline which details the process of entering and studying in the three degrees, at least as they apply to our project. A slightly different outline will have to be crafted to evaluate the progress of subordinate lodges and their indivudual projects, but this one may serve as a model.

Order Specs This is a comprehensive manual of information and instructions detailing the physical construction of the various props, tools, banners and devices used by our lodge. It is not intended to be the "one and only standard" against which all else is measured, merely a thorough-going resource for those who might be daunted by construction tasks which might seem beyond their skill. It is our intention build this area and add links to projects submitted by other members.

Applications Includes: Individual application to the Companions of the Glyph, Oregon's Occidentis Universitas, Supporting Member application, Affiliate Lodge application (and requirements).

The Process This is where you look to see the step-by-step process of obtaining 501(c)3 status from the IRS.

Rites A compendium of all liturgical materials past, current or proposed. Submissions encouraged.

Glyph Log Updates and details of the First Glyph project, complete with astrological charts re: events of some significance. Contains images of things found and events recorded.
