The following are the scripts used for the most basic rites of planetary magick being evaluated at this time by the folks involved with the project. These are essentially taped scripts which are constructed in the studio prior to actual performance, allowing most or all participants to give the various orations and orisons in their own voices. It is theorized that to do such allows all participants to more fully give their attention to the details of the rite, combining modes of both the giving and the receiving of the energies involved.

The scripts are adapted from the rites given in Planetary Magick by Melita Denning and Osbourne Phillips and their presentation here is intended strictly for internal use of Oregon's Universitas Occidentis, Companions of the Glyph.



RITES OF APPROACH,THE PLANETARY SPHERES

SCRIPT: "Stand at the Center,  facing East.  Make the gesture 'ave' and  formulate 
	the ball of brilliant arc-like white light that is the Corona Flammae above the 
	lot of us"

	"See the white brilliance stab forth into a slow spiral of light that encircles 
	your own body, moving counterclockwise down to the Institia Splendens at your 
	feet.  A swirling, prismatic ball of light is formed at your insteps and the 
	ground under them.  You can feel a warm, yet exhilirating feeling of blessing, 
	of grace being absorbed by your being and coming from this spiral of light, 
	even as it now fades away.  The brilliant Corona Flammae above remains, however."


	"Assuming the Orante gesture, turn 360 degrees in place, counterclockwise,
        formulating the shining wall of mist around you, white, flecked with gold.  
	When you are done, fold your hands upon your breast, right over left."

	"Turn antisunwise to West, stamp right foot and give the banishing……………then fold 
	the arms on the breast again, right over left."

	"Lower your arms and turn counterclockwise to the East.  Again taking the Orante 
	gesture, turn 360o in place, clockwise, formulating another wall, mist-blue, 
	flecked with silver, weaving into and merging with the first.  When you have 
	completed the circle, fold your hands  on your breast right over left, and let the 
	awareness of the Corona Flammae recedes, while the wall remains."

	"THEE WE INVOKE, THE SECRET FLAME THAT ABIDETH IN HOLY AND LUMINOUS SILENCE.

	"Far-riding ruler of  days, all-seeing arbiter of the planetary powers!  Thine is 
	the wisdom  prophecy, the rapture of music and poesy, the upward surging force of

SATURN
	"Sublime and shadowed one, austere awakener of high aspiration and mystic hope!  
	Thou art giver of the silent will to endure, thou art patron of the spirit's 
	creativity and of the forces of preservation and of renewal.  In thy keeping are 
	alike the scythe of the reaper and the instruments of the builder in stone; 
	thine too is the open scroll of the past and thine the sealed scroll which holds

	[....] times, the ovoid becoming brighter and more luminous unto pefection."

6. "Let the ovoid remain for a breath or two, then let it fall back into it's original

	comprehension: the magick of the realization, and the magick of it's sowing for a new 
	harvest.  May the potent force which awakens all understanding, the great wind that 
	sweeps the snows from the uplands and the dead leaves from the forest hollows, be

JUPITER
	"May I be blessed with the generous spirit which both gives and attracts the bounties 
	of all levels of existence: mine be that cup unfailing, overflowing and ever 
	replenished by the powers of celestial abundance!  Mine be the far vision which 
	transcends the images and emotions of the moment, mine the regardful love which 
	seeks the highest good in all and for all; mine be it to dispose with true wisdom 
	all matters which fall within my judgement.  May my heart be filled with the royal 
	freedom, the divine gladness of blue illimitable skies; and may that bright

	distance be veiled from my present vision, as in the pregnant darkness of an ancient

1. Rite of preparation is performed.

2. Strike the battery appropriate to the sphere.  Incense.

		foundation I will invoke the living flame of the 1st heaven.  Encompassed by that
		resplendence and established upon the 1st step of the Ziggurat of Light, I will call

MERCURY

	"Multiple, dual, yet ever indivisible in unity: thou dost goest powerfully in light 
	and in darkness!  Subtle art thou as water, tenacious as fire.  Thy power is a sure 
	staff to the wayfarer and a crown of knowledge to the mage.  Swift must be the words 
	that call thee, swift but most trenchant!--a rushing wing is the language of this my 
	invocation.  O thou who art ruler of the orb of Kokab, thou protector and guide who 
	dwellest in the grateful palace of Thushiah; thou whose chosen heaven is Reqia'a, 
	the profound and splendid firmament itself: now let thine auspicious gaze rest upon 
	my earnest explorations, and open within me the hidden gates of thy sphere, that thy 
	power may arise in my soul." 


VENUS

	"Radiant and strong ally, victorious friend, swift healer and helper!--giver of 
	gladness, bathing all beings in the light of thy golden eyes! Song and sweet 
	laughter evoke thee, and thy glory calls forth song and sweet laughter again.  
	Bestower of life, bestower of love, my heart and soul find ecstasy in thee!  
	O thou who art ruler of the orb of Nogah, bestower of blessing and of rapture, 
	who dwellest in thy palace of the celestial forest, the festive palace of 
	Otz Shamaim; thou who in the languid heaven of misty Shecheqim shinest in

	Sphere, that thy power may arise in my soul!"

	"Effulgent Prince of Day!--through thine all-giving and most potent gaze we are 
	wrought of star-fire, and kin to the glories beyond the spheres.  Thine is the 
	measure of Time and thine to bestow are the gifts that outpass Time: delight of 
	life, rapture of life renewed!  Thou art the Love which illuminates our love and 
	the beauty which shines forth in the beauty of every being.  Thou art present in 
	all: yet now above all and apart from all I invoke thy glorious power.  O thou who

MARS

	"Pure Flame of valor!  With ringing voice and upraised countenance be thy 
	invocation made!  Glory of fortitude, glory of achievement are in thy hand, and 
	that inward joy of attainment which lifts the heart more than the acclaim of 
	trumpets.  Infuser of strong resolve into the blood of those who aspire: in 
	courage and confidence I call upon thy might.   O thou who art ruler of the orb 
	of Madim, thou intrepid champion who dwellest in the exalted palace of Zakoth; 
	thou whose domain among the heavens is flame-bright Ma-on, habitation of the 
	valorous and stronghold of protection to the just: now in thy sustaining care, 
	that I may advance in justice and truth, open within me the massive gates of thy 
	sphere, that thy power may arise in my soul!"



JUPITER

	"O most exalted Wielder of the stars, supreme in all magnificence!  The immense 
	blue and purple of the sky and ocean declare the breadth of thy domain, the 
	fruitful rains affirm thy benignity.  Majestic in power, compassionate in regard, 
	beneath thy protecting hand I here invoke thee.  O thou who art ruler of Tzedeq, 
	most royal father who dwellest in the beloved palace of white-pillared Ahabah; 
	thou whose chosen region is the peaceful, the established place, the joyous realm 
	of Makon:  now in thy divine liberality, that I may arise to greater plenitude of 
	life, open within me the spacious gates of thy Sphere, that thy power may arise in 
	my soul."


SATURN


	"August and terrible!  Thou silent, thou sublime!  Through Time and Necessity dost 
	thou rule us, through mystery and the secret seeds of Creative Inspiration thou dost 
	move us.  Thou who bearest the scepter of elder Night, who dost govern the seasons 
	of the spirit: thou Sower, thou Reaper, thou Regenerator!  thee now I invoke.  
	O thou who art ruler of the orb of Shabbathai, thou venerable one who dwellest in 
	the most sacred place of Qadosh Qadoshim; thou whose domain is the vasty heaven of 
	the glimmering plains, remote in Araboth:  now in thine ever-heedful fidelity, that 
	I may bring my labors on Earth to their full harvest, open within me the adamantine 
	gates of thy sphere, that thy power may arise in my soul!"



5. Allow the ovoid to fade.  A spiral of [............] colored light arises from institia 
splendens at your feet in a clockwise fashion to disappear above our heads.  
Maintaining this vibrant awareness, the divine name of the sphere is vibrated [.....] times.

(The appropriate colors for this part of the program are:
9=silver, 8=opalescence, 7=saffron, 6=gold, 5=fiery red,
4=white and 3=Grey.)

6. Insert recording of group vibration.

7. Now, allow the spiral to fade.  In the next five or ten minutes, allow your mind to relax 
and become a blank slate upon which the invoked forces of the planetary sphere may write.  
Force nothing--relax and let all communication unfold in whatever way it might.  If at first 
you perceive nothing, remain calm and patient until all have finished.
 
8. Musical selection, battery = 1

9. Dwelling with thought and memory upon what you have been given, make notes of the 
experience for five or so minutes.  If the vision threatens to take more time in the 
telling, summarize it, then finish it in a few minutes, after the rite.

	me the abundant gifts of spiritual vitality and the celestial fire of Victory."

	"Ever may the effulgent flame of the Fourth Heaven illumine the sanctuary of my 
	heart; and may its reverberation in Zabul, arising within my soul, increasingly 
	bestow upon me the most sacred gifts of magickal dedication and the high ecstasies 
	of Beauty."



Mars

	"Ever may the indomitable flame of the Fifth Heaven guard my life and my works; and
	may its reverberation in Ma-on, arising within my soul, increasingly bestow upon me
	the high gifts of magickal adventure and the unfailing confidence in Strength."


Jupiter
	
	"Ever may the Beneficent flame of the sixth Heaven prosper my spiritual development; 
	and may its reverberation in Makon, arising within my soul, increasingly bestow upon
