Our story thus far:

Not very long ago, in a verdant part of the Pacific Northwest, a group of ceremonial magicians concocted a devious plan. "Let us build a huge magickal machine on the Astral Plane," we said, "counterminuous with the city in which we dwell, with which we hope to bring about prosperity and harmony for all within it's sphere of influence." We were a motley crew comprised of several card-carrying members of the O.T.O., a few petitioners to the Order of the Sacred Word--Aurum Solis, an Erisian/Dobbsian Sub-Genius, a Reiki master and a yogini.

Over the course of a short summer, we built this device, anchoring it within the landscape of the physical plane, then crossing and re-crossing it on foot, charging it heavily upon the Astral with invocations, orisons and offerings. It has the shape of the familiar Star of David, a figure which has long-time magickal associations with the balance of the elements and of the heavens and which signifies the sixth Sephiroth on the tree of Life, Tipareth" or "Beauty". Our principle intentions were to address the figure in it's more heavenly aspect, assigning each point of the star to one of the 7 visible heavenly bodies (around which so much magickal tradition revolves), the sun--sublime symbol of the Most High--holding the center of the figure. Over time, and with repeated, seasonal festivals, the Companions of the Glyph (as our society is known) built up a complex of temples upon whose altars we would craft the harmonious perfection not only of the region wherein it operated, but of our own psyches as well.

That we were engaging in something beyond sheer fantasy and empty mummery was amply demonstrated when one of our number contacted a few third parties who arranged for several more fourth parties to study our work by clairvoyant means While the Companions could be fairly certain that these clairvoyants were not supplied much relevant data beyond: "It's a couple of miles across and sits somewhere north of California, South of Canada, west of the Cascades, east of the Coastals . . ." these folks nonetheless returned accurate descriptions of the device, it's precise location and even some data to which they could not have had access by mundane means. While some will inevitably believe this to be only a fabrication on our parts, we do not have that luxury: it made believers of us.

In the course of time, a book called The Book of the Glyph was produced, chiefly through the efforts of Fraters Adsum Iterum and Magnus Po. This book detailed the events leading up to the formation of the project, its initiation and upkeep, and provided the complete texts of ceremonies and extensive theoretical essays. A website and a discussion area was created to support and publish the ongoing project. Not long after that, a Fraternal Order was incorporated in order to support and encourage the works that others might offer. A documentary is being filmed as well.
