Chartered in 1939, Akron Club 151 was the 151st Toastmasters club formed and is the 3rd oldest club east of the Mississippi River. Akron Toastmasters Club 151 is a Community Club open for membership to anyone 18 years or older (minimum age). But anyone can join us as a guest! Come experience for yourself one of our meetings. It's probably nothing like you imagined! This is what most Toastmasters say looking back on their first visit. All agree: This is the place for you if your self-improvement plans call for sharpening your public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. Or if you just want to meet some of the most friendly and supportive people in the greater-Akron area. The membership of Akron Toastmasters Club 151 represents every walk of life. Our members are as diverse as the Midwest itself.
Akron Toastmasters Club 151 meets every Tuesday at Saint Thomas Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Meetings start promptly at 6:30 P.M. in meeting room A/B on the second floor.
Come early and meet us if socializing is your habit. However, there's no pressure to interact or to join or even to participate beyond your comfort level. Come as an observer only and watch the power of the Toastmasters program at work. Know that many of us found self confidence and poise as Toastmasters after years of painful shyness or unecessary discomfort. Be sure to ask for me, Randy Godding, V.P. club communications. We can answer your questions and provide you with helpful literature about Toastmasters International, its mission, and how Akron Toastmasters Club 151 can make you the confident and polished communicator you've dreamed about becoming.
