This is a brand new site about rebetiko music, uploaded the 20th of February 1998.

    It is dedicated to all the people who can understand the meaning of VALVE AMPLIFIED bouzouki, as well as the passion of  singers, composers, audience, instrument players and.... other related stuff!
    The title of this site "ΚΑΦΕΝΕΙΟΝ Η ΕΛΛΑΣ" leads us to the golden age of Greek music.Back then, where everybody was playing music for pleasure, not for money...Back then, where everybody was sitting on these small  wooden chairs around the band in the small taverns, drinking, smoking, feeling..... ALL people were there for the same purpose.To listen, to understand, to feel music.
     Great  singers, composers, wine(!)....A very small sample of  the atmosphere of that time, is hosted to these pages.How good and reliable is it? You will be the judge of that....
     I dedicate this site to all Greek people from other countries. Hope you find what you`ve been looking for.
