April 14, 1865 - John Wilkes Booth shoots President Lincoln.
April 15, 1865 - President Lincoln dies and the Vice-President, Andrew Johnson becomes the President.
May 10, 1865 - Jefferson Davis is captured by Union cavalry at Irwinsville, Ga.
