A Frog Habitat
Set up a frog habitat in the class room. Have the students' observe certain behaviors and characteristics in frogs. (Example: the frogs movement, what sounds frogs make, and frogs eating habits, etc.)
Materials Needed:
Spray bottles with water Potting soil Plants Gravel Flat piece of wood Sphagnum moss Fish tank with a cover for the top Plastic storage container to hold water
Directions: 1. Set up the container with water on one side of the fish tank. 2. Cover the remaining bottom area with a layer of gravel, and then a layer of potting soil. 3. Arrange the moss, wood, and the plants. 4. Frogs need lots of moisture. Spray the habitat each day with water. Do not place the habitat in direct sunlight. 5. Have fun observing your frog habitat.
