These basic mouse overs were created with the INSERT
> COMPONENT feature. This is the default size of 120 x 24
pixels. The first images uses the GLOW effect changing from
Yellow to Blue. The second images also uses GLOW changing from
BLUE to YELLOW. |
| Custom Mouse Over #2
These custom mouse overs were created at a size of 100
x 100 pixels. The butterfly image was modified with the IMAGE
> PUNCH effect with a 20% punch applied. The slow sign
demonstrates the effect called TWIRL with 20% twirl
applied. The final custom mouse over demonstrates the effect
called RIPPLE. To create custom mouse overs you need to
paint two images the same size and then modify the second image.
These images were saved as JPG images. |
| Banner #1
My first web banner was very basic and only uses two
layers, one layer for the cool background and one layer for the
text. The cool layer was faded to allow the text to stand out. |
| Banner #2
This second web banner demonstrates more pixel painting
skills. Five separate layers were used to create this
image. The layers I used are: Background; Gradient Fill; Eyes on
the left; and Eyes on the right. Also demonstrated here is the technique
called FEATHER. Feathering softens the edge of an image
when you copy and paste a selection. Finally, you will
notice the drop shadow of black that has been applied to the
text. |
| Web Graphics
 
These web graphics were created using the FLOOD FILL
tool. The unusual aspect about this project is the fact that
these were created in shades of gray. Once the base button was
created, color was applied using the COLOR MENU > COLORIZE
and adjusting the HUE and SATURATION levels of the
image. To create the rounded effect the SELECTION
was modified using CONTRACT and then the selection was rotated
180 degrees. This causes a button effect due to the
