Dedicated to Joy, Hope, Love and Peace

"The Spirit of the One you follow is the Spirit of love
and peace. That Spirit seeks to abide in the hearts of
those who would embrace its call and live its message.
The path will not always be easy, the choices will not
always be clear, but the cause is sure and the Spirit
will bear witness to the truth, and those who live the
truth will know the hope and the joy of the disciples in
the community of Christ"

Joseph Smith.Doctrine and Covernants, Section 161:7

It worries me somewhat that the worship of the Creator of what we live on,
has become so involved with how men see Him to be over being what He really is.
Surely it does not matter one bit what anyone may 'believe' to be the right interpretation.
God is...what He is. Wouldn't it be best then to allow Him to be what He is
and to seek this truth with prayerful consideration, searching and objective study.
This,(may I say) over someone (anyone) who 'starts' a church and then tells the members
what they should or shouldn't believe?

I guess what I am saying, is that it's a case of making what
we believe our responsibility.
You can delegate that to someone else if you want to...It's up to you.

"Take up the challenge
and know the exhileration of success."*

Here is something I read recently which I feel sums up a good
attitude toward the 'path' we endeavour to find.
It comes from Apostle Linda Booth of The 'Community of Christ Church'.
I have edited it a little.

Christmas.... "...reminds me that my journey to Bethlehem
is less about the season and more about an inward
path that connects me to something greater than myself
and calls me to be a disciple of Jesus Christ".

It is my testimoney to anyone and everyone,
that God has watched over me all the years of my life.
So much so, that I wonder how anyone can possibly
live without His influence.
I would ask the question: WHY would you not want God to assist in guiding your life?

I am totally convinced that The Christian story (however poluted by man that it most certainly is )
will lead us to the better understanding of God the creator.

I am also convinced that there are many other 'scriptures' which
will help us to find the path we seek and which will provide us with a better understanding.

"Seek Ye out of good books words of wisdon." (Joseph Smith)

The main deterent, I feel to a better understanding of The Creator,
could certainly be what traditions, folklore
and ignorance and lack of being told, have handed down to us over time. It will take a determined effort for any searcher to
sift through what some of these traditions have determined
as towhat we should believe or should not.

"...It is far best to know all thing thyself..."
as Aristotle recommended, rather than to be
hood-winked into believing what some one else pre-ordains for us.

Be as you were made: an individual.
Believe what YOU believe!
KNOW what you know. Do what you believe you should!
