Settlement pattern analysis and surface collection of an archaeological complex near Tuxpan, Jalisco
As a result of several years of ethnographic, archaeological and ethnohistorical investigations about the socioeconomic structure of West México enabled me to identify a large pre-Columbian architectural complex previously undiscovered.
I expect to conduct further explorations this summer.
SURFACE RECONNAISSANCE, WEST MÉXICO, 1999-2000
Archaelogical and topographical analysis of the frontier region shared by the West Mexican states of Michoacán, Jalisco and Colima.
Activities included the interpretation of aerial and satellite photographs as well as the use of global positioning systems while covering vast regions on foot, horseback and 4-wheel drive vehicles.
