Casting Circles
Use a wand, athame, or your hand in a circular motion or walk deosil around the circle to cast ehile saying:
"By the earth that is her body and by the air that is her breath, and by the fire that is her bright spirit, and by the living waters of her womb. the circle is cast, so mote it be"
*next, what you would do is invoke the elements/call the quarters. It does take a lot of power to cast a circle, it is basically building yourself a natural church in the form of a simple protective circle to perform your magickal workings, prayers, and invocations!
Closing Circles
once you are finished with your magickal working say this to close 9open) the circle, say this while walking widdershins and don't forget to thank the (Lords of the watchtowers, elements, elementals, fairies, dragons, etc.) for witnessing your Rite...
"By the eath that is her body, and by the air that is her breath, and by the fired that is her bright spirit, and by the living waters of her womb, the circle is open, but not unbroken, May the joy of the Goddess live inou hearts, Merry Meet and Merry Part and Merry ye meet, again! |

Methods for Causing Rain
Method #1-On the day you wish to cause rain, think about rain and carry with you a piece of lava.
Method #2-Take a branch or two, or a few twigs, from an Oak Tree and place them in a garden of some sort.flower bed, etc...and your done.
Method #3-this has actually been thee simplest and most effective way. Using concentration and visualization, and actually feeling th rain in the air before it comes, say a prayer to "Father sky."... "Oh Father Sky, Blessed of thy ahes, Bring rain down, Onto thy sacred places." |

Self-Dedication Ritual
This ritual can take place whenever you feel it should be done. Go to a quiet place to perform the ritual. If it is inside you may wish to burn silver candles or incense. if it is outside you need to take nothing with you but a vial of richly scented oil. You can use any oil but it may be best to use frankincense or cinnamon. Open yourself to the natural energies around you and relax yourself. Contact the Earth, feel the energies around you, continue breathing deeply, and call the Goddess and God in any words you like or use the following invocation. Memorize these words before the Rite if you use them:
"O Mother Goddess, OFather God, Answers sto all mysteries and yet mysteries unanswered; In this place of power I open myself to your Essence. In this place and in this time I am changed, From henceforth I walk the Wiccan path. i dedicate myself to you, Mother Goddess and Father God."
Rest for moment. Silent and still, then continue:
"I breathe your energies into my body, commingling, blending, mixing with mine, that I may see the divine in nature, nature in the divine, and divinity within myself and all else. O Great Goddess, O great God, Make me one with your essence, Make me one with your essence, Make me one with your essence."
You may feel bursting with power and energy, or calm and at peace. your mind might be in a whirl. the Earth beneath you may throb with energy. Wild animals might be in your presence. Whatever may occur, know that you have opened yourself and that the Goddess and God have heard you. You should feel different inside, at peace or simply powerful. |
