The Divine Mother, Kali!

Kali Ma! Great Dark Goddess, She who holds the trembling mortal life in one blooded hand, Your powering is amazing, and i honor you in all your forms, The Mother, bringing life, and the Crone, taking life away, Kali Ma! may you slay my enemies!!!

Kali comes from the word Kala or time. She is the power of time which devours all. Kali's husband was Shiva. Shiva is pure white, Kali is a deep bluish black. Kali has 3 eyes, the third stands for wisdom. She has 4 arms. The two arms on the right stand for good and promises fearlessness. The two arms on the left stand for bad and hold a bloody sword and a severed human head. The Dark Goddess is naked except for a girdle of human arms cut off and a garland of 50 human skulls.

Elements- Water and Fire Nature- Creative, consuming, powerful, and transcending. Symbols- Skull, sword, snake, lotus, bells, triangle, and gold armlet. Colors- Red, black, and white. Number- 9 Plants/Foods- Yogurt, cucumber, beet, crab, lily, lotus, rose, blood root, and cypress. Places- river, cove, moutains, and cemetary. Day- Wednesday.

The Divine Mother, Kali, rules every form of death and life. She has 3 forms: 3 stages of human life 3 phases of the moon 3 types of priestess at her shrines Kali is said to command the weather by braiding or releasing her hair.

"Therefore, when you make the call, I, Kali, shall release that Sacred Fire into the core of evil. Let the call go forth! For I am here and I have had enough, And I say, enough is enough!!!"
