Mission Statement
To teach and guide every student in such a manner
as to provide
opportunities for success within and outside the
classroom.
Williamson Middle School is nestled on the slope
of a rising foothill in Williamson,
West Virginia, in the heart of what was once the
"billion dollar coalfield".
The two-story building, sharing a wall with Williamson
High School, was built in 1985
on the site of the historic Main Building Grade School.
Two hundred seventy-two
students climb the steps from the bus each morning
to be greeted at the door
by the principal who welcomes them into the brightly
lit, warm building.
As the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders pour
into our building,
twenty-nine faculty members prepare to start the
day.
