The Nature of Physics

One more good physics link. It's about... how things work!

Physics for beginners

Physics, the neglected science explains why you should take physics and has a good quiz.

Mr. Fizzix's website - looks interesting, but I haven't explored it much - tell me what you think.

Necessary Mathematics

Check out Megaconverter.com for the EASY way to do conversions. Too bad I don't let you use a computer on the test, huh?

Modern Physics

The Center for the History of Physics has several online exhibits that you might find interesting.

When will we ever need to know this?!This site (called "Careers using Physics") explains what you could do with a physics degree and how everyday people use physics.

Research and post an explanation on my guestbook of Einstein's General Relativity and how it was first confirmed. Your explanation must be 5 sentences or more and IN YOUR OWN WORDS!! For your research, start at the history of physics page (see link above under modern physics). Click on the "Exhibit Hall" drop down box and choose "Einstein: Image and Impact". Then click on "The Great Works". Click through until you get to "The Great Works II". Read this along with "World Fame I" and particularly the links called "photographed" and "click here to see a gravitational lens". This will require a bit of reading, but the pictures and text should help you to understand it. This will be due on Sunday March 12, 2006 by 11:59 pm. 1
