Today we will be doing two things. By the way, see that advertisement in the upper right corner? Please close it.
For the quiz, go back to my physics site and click on the "Physics, the neglected science" link. You will need to find the Physics Savvy Quiz. On your worksheet, check the box for true or false. You will not know about many of these questions, but that's OK! We will be retaking this quiz at the end of the trimester. Many of the questions will show up on the final exam. After you have submitted your answers, record your percent on your worksheet. Then record the correct answer (T or F) for each question. There are also explanations for all the questions. For any you missed, read the explanation. If you come across any questions that you have a comment on, write that in the "your comments" column. Examples of comments you might have are:
"I mostly knew the right answer, but wasn't quite sure because of..."
"I had no clue and after reading the explanation, I still don't know what this is talking about."
"After reading the explanation, I understand what the correct answer should have been."
"I've known that since third grade. This is boring."
When you finish the quiz, come back here for your next task.

In case you've forgotten, there is an extra credit assignment due tonight (Friday 12-3-04 at midnight). If you have nothing better to do, this might be a good idea.

Factor labeling, also known as "dimensional analysis" tutorial
This one has problems to solve, answers and discussions of the solutions.
Funny reminder of why you should know those SI prefixes!
On the same subject...
This one looks more complicated than it is. Toward the bottom, there are problems to solve and further down are answers. Try a few.
Read "why you should take trig" and "applications of trig" for some good background
Probably won't help your understanding of trig, but it may increase your appreciation for geometry.

Graphing rules for chemistry. NOTE: I will not ask for computer generated graphs and the graph paper I provide you is fine. Otherwise, this site covers it all!
This one gives example questions about the independent and dependent variables.

It is really hard finding a good website on this one... so I made my own.
Feel free to ask me about the algebra worksheet. It's hard to get the text to look right...
This website will be avaliable all weekend. You may use it to study as needed! :-)
