wispy willow tree
how your shade dost cover me
giving rest from the suns bright rays

as my sweating skin touched the grass
I thanked god for this chance to relax
For it gave me time to think of other things

At first my mind was empty
So that I could take in everything
But not for long was that the case

I thought of those I love and those I lost
Of the people today that I had crossed
And of tomorrow and what it would bring

Then I started to worry
Thoughts came rushing in a hurry
I felt like it was all for vain

And as I asked myself why
Water fell from the sky
Covering all in its torrent

What do I want to do with my life
Can I still do what is right
Running in circles I drive myself insane

And then I was under a wispy willow tree
Truly your shade does cover me
Shielding me from water heaven sent

In a flash of ingenuity
My muddled mind started clearing
And I stepped out proudly into the rain
