All About the Bible
The Bible is a sacred book accepted by the church as uniquely inspired by God. Man under the guidance of the precious Holy Spirit wrote the Bible. It is considered an authoritative guide, the traveler's map, for belief and behavior. It is the written record Word of God which came through the prophets, apostles, and other spokesman, and which Christians believe "became flesh" in a unique sense through Jesus Christ.
The Bible contains two major sections, the first known as the Old Testament. The Old Testament tells the story of the building of a nation as fulfillment of promise to Abraham. The New Testament tells the story of the Messiah, his life and his ministry, the early years of the church, and the return of Jesus Christ.
