Though I've been a science teacher for seven years, my experiences are quite varied. I've been a microbiologist, a computer programmer, a travel agent, and a full-time graduate student. Teaching, however, has far and away been my favorite career choice. I'm excited about science, and I love seeing that excitement in my students. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to empower girls to be pursue science, and be the best they can be. Personal: Married to the same great guy for 18 years. We have one son, Taylor who is four years old. He is autistic and epileptic, so we spend a lot of time in doctor’s offices and doing therapy with him. He is, however, trés cute and is very much loved. If you have any questions about autism or epilepsy, I’d be more than happy to answer what I can. I’m very open about Taylor’s "issues". I figure if I’m comfortable with it, others will be too. And if not, that’s their problem, not mine. Here are some pictures of me and my family. Click on the thumbnail to see a larger picture.
